THE LIMIT
A pal of mine got the rights to pitch a series based on a non-fiction book called THE LIMIT, written by Michael Cannel. It chronicles the incredible Grand Prix racing season of 1961 where an American won the world championship for the first time. It’s a rousing, feel-good, thrill ride. A true story of triumph and tragedy. Filled with aspirational heroes. Relatable young men and women seeking fame, fortune, and family. I had personal reasons for wanting to bring this story to the screen. My father was a bit-player in these historical events. Not as a driver, but as a photographer and journalist. Motor racing shows are a tough sell and this period yarn would’ve been expensive to produce. Click on the link to download a PDF of my pitch - THE LIMIT
